Even if we aren't 18 yet, teenagers can have an impact on their community and government.
Teenagers can have a voice |
Growing up, we have always been told that we are too young to worry about "real life issues", we lack the life experience, or we are too lazy. Because we aren't old enough to vote, or we still live at home, adults ignore our opinions, or they expect us not to have them at all.
It's time to change that. The 21st century has allowed us to be more connected than ever, young people are not sheltered from knowledge and news, we have access to the real world and we can find out what is happening. And we can form opinions! We are not to young to make change, but we can't just sit around waiting for it, we have to act! |
